Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 pkg. French's enchilada sauce mix
  • 16 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 can pinto beans
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 bag Fritos corn chips
  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
  • garlic powder
  • 8 oz. Velveeta cheese
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 c. Mozzarella cheese

Directions

    Brown first four ingredients and set aside.

    Mix next three ingredients and pour over meat mixture; set aside.

    Start with a 9 x 13-inch Pyrex pan.

    Layer in this order: pinto beans, corn chips, refried beans and corn chips.

    Mix together the cream cheese and sour cream with 1 teaspoon of garlic powder and spread on top to make the next layer.

    Now pour the meat sauce you have reserved on top of this.

    Melt the milk and Velveeta in microwave and pour over top.

    Then add the Mozzarella cheese as the last layer.

    Place this in 350° oven and bake 30 minutes.
