Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 (16 oz. can tomatoes with juice
  • 1 (1 1/4 oz.) pkg. taco seasoning mix
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (16 oz.) can hot chili beans, drained
  • 1/2 tsp. dried marjoram
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese
  • corn chips
  • 1 bell pepper, diced

Directions

    In a 10-inch skillet, saute beef and onion.

    Add salt, pepper, bell pepper, seasoning mix, tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans, marjoram and bay leaf.

    Let simmer for 30 minutes.

    Remove bay leaf and pour into a 2-quart casserole.

    Preheat oven to 350°. Sprinkle cheese over top.

    Top with corn chips.

    Bake for 20 minutes.
