Mexican Corn Bread

- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. creamed corn
- 4 hot peppers
- 1 c. corn meal
- 8 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/3 c. oil
- 1 large chopped onion
Directions

1Brown beef, add onions, peppers and cheese. Sift meal, salt and soda.

2Combine sifted mixture with beaten eggs, milk, oil and corn.

3Pour 1/2 bread mixture in a deep greased skillet or Corning Ware dish.

4Add meat mixture, top with other 1/2 of bread mixture. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
