  • 1 c. yellow cornmeal
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 can creamed corn
  • 1 small can chilies, cut in small pieces
  • Cheddar cheese, grated

Directions

    Mix all ingredients together.

    Pour half of the mixture into a greased 8-inch pan.

    Sprinkle grated cheese on top of this.

    Pour in rest of mixture and top with more cheese.

    Bake at 400° for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

    Cool for 5 to 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
