  • 1 c. yellow corn meal
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1 (8.5 oz.) can cream-style corn
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 4 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
  • 2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3/4 c. sour cream

Directions

    Mix all ingredients in order given; beat well.

    Pour into buttered 8 x 8-inch baking dish.

    Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown and a wooden pick inserted comes out clean.
