  • 1 c. yellow corn meal
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. sweet milk
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. bacon drippings
  • 1 (No. 2) can cream-style corn
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese

    Mix corn meal, salt and soda.

    Mix eggs, corn and milk.

    Blend all ingredients together.

    Add green pepper and onions.

    Pour mixture into a greased casserole.

    Sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until dry when tested.
