- 1 1/2 c. corn meal
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 c. salad oil
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 3 jalapeno peppers, chopped
- 1 (1 lb.) can cream-style corn
- 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Mix all ingredients except cheese in order listed.

2Pour half the batter into greased deep 9-inch square baking dish.

3Sprinkle with half the cheese.

4Add remaining batter.

5Cover with remaining cheese.

6Bake in preheated 350° oven for 45 minutes or until done.
