  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. self-rising corn meal
  • 1 can cream-style corn
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 c. Cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 1 small bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 to 5 jalapeno peppers, chopped (number of peppers according to taste)
