  • 2/3 c. buttermilk
  • 1/4 c. Wesson oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/3 c. cream-style corn
  • 1/2 c. grated cheese
  • 2 slices crisp bacon
  • 1/4 c. chopped pimento
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 chopped hot pepper (optional)
  • pinch of salt and pepper

    Mix and bake at 400° in greased skillet until brown. Wonderful on a cold night with homemade chili and a crisp green salad.
