- 1/2 c. corn meal (self-rising)
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 2/3 c. Crisco
- 1/4 c. creamed corn
- 1 c. whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. chopped onions
- 1 medium bell pepper, chopped (optional)
- 1 1/2 c. grated sharp cheese
- 1 Tbsp. crushed red pepper (for milder, only use 1 tsp.)
Directions

1Mix all ingredients together except cheese; put only part of cheese in mix.

2Save most to put on top.

3Bake at 370° for 35 minutes or until done.
