- 1 c. buttermilk
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. corn oil
- 1 small can chopped green chilies
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 can whole kernel corn
- 1 can pimentos
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 lb. grated cheese
- 1 c. cornmeal
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
Directions

1Combine cornmeal and buttermilk; let stand 30 minutes.

2Mix remainder of ingredients while you wait.

3Sift flour, sugar, salt and soda into bowl; add egg and milk.

4Add chilies, pimentos, corn and cheese.

5Mix well.

6Bake in well-greased pan at 375° for 30 minutes.
