  • 2 c. self-rising cornmeal
  • 4 Tbsp. self-rising flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 large can cream-style corn
  • 1/3 c. chopped jalapeno peppers (optional)
  • 1 lb. ground chuck, browned and seasoned
  • 1 stick butter
  • 8 oz. pkg. Cheddar cheese, grated
