- 1 c. cornmeal
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
- 1/3 c. oil
- 1 c. creamed corn
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 can chopped green chilies
- 1 c. Cheddar or Longhorn
Directions

1Mix cornmeal, buttermilk and oil.

2Add creamed corn, soda, salt and eggs.

3Pour half of cornbread in an 8 x 8-inch pan.

4Put chopped green chilies and 1/2 cheese over cornbread.

5Top with remaining cornmeal mixture.

6Add remaining cheese to second cornmeal layer.

7Bake 40 minutes at 350°.
