- 2 eggs
- 1 (16 oz) can creamed corn
- 2 1/2 c sweet milk or buttermilk
- 1/2 c salad oil or bacon drippings
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 (4 oz) can chopped green chilies
- 2 cups corn meal
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 c grated sharp Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Mix eggs, corn, milk, oil, onion and green chilies.

2Mix together corn meal, soda and salt; combine with liquid mixture. Add cheese.

3Preheat oven to 375°, put well greased pans in oven to preheat and pour batter into warmed pan.

4Bake at 375° for 45 - 60 minutes.

5Cut into squares and serve.
