- 1 1/2 c. cornmeal
- 1 lb. ground meat
- 1 lb. mild Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 large can cream-style corn
- 2 peppers, chopped
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. sweet milk
- 1 large onion, chopped
Directions

1Combine and mix corn meal, eggs, sweet milk, salt and corn together to make batter.

2Saute ground meat; drain.

3Add onions and peppers.

4Prepare skillet for cornbread by greasing and sprinkling with meal and let brown.

5Pour half of batter into skillet.

6Add beef mixture, onion and peppers.

7Top with cheese.

8Add remainder of batter.

9Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
