  • 1 3/4 c. self-rising corn meal
  • 1 c. sharp cheese, grated
  • 1 c. whole kernel corn
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 c. oil
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 or 3 jalapeno peppers, chopped

    Mix all together well.

    Put 2 tablespoons oil in skillet and get real hot.

    Pour cornbread mixture in and bake at 425° until brown.
