Mexican Dip

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
  • 2 -4 cups shredded cheddar cheese (I use mild)
  • 2 (1 1/4 ounce) packages taco seasoning
  • 1 -2 lb ground beef
  • tortilla chips (I prefer Scoops for this)

    Preheat oven to 350.

    Brown hamburger, add 1 pack of taco seasoning and 1-2 tablespoons of water (you can follow the directions on the pack if you wish).

    Set aside to cool slightly.

    Mix cream cheese, sour cream and 1 pack of taco seasoning.

    I prefer to use my Kitchen Aid mixer so I can just let it go while I'm making the hamburger.

    It will become nice and fluffy as it mixes.

    Spread cream cheese mix in the bottom of a 9x13 pan.

    Pour hamburger evenly over cream cheese mix.

    Put cheddar cheese over everything until it's completely covered.

    I like it really cheesy!

    Place in the oven for about 5-10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
