- 1 c. dry long cooking rice
- 1 (10 or 12 oz.) jar picante sauce (mild)
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder (or dry chopped onion)
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. chopped dry chives
- 1 c. water
- 1 tsp. margarine
Directions

1Rinse rice; drain.

2In 2-quart boiler, add rice and all ingredients.

3Bring to boil; reduce to low heat.

4Cover and cook 25 to 30 minutes.

5Remove from heat and fluff.

6Serve with additional picante sauce if desired.
