- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/2 medium onion, diced
- 1/2 clove garlic
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 c. tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 lb. ground meat
- 1 c. water
Directions

1Fry rice in 1 tablespoon shortening until brown.

2Remove and fry ground meat, onion, garlic, salt, chili powder and tomatoes. Combine meat, rice and water in casserole dish.

3Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
