  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. rice, rinsed
  • 1/4 c. tomato sauce
  • diced onion
  • salt to taste
  • 3 c. chicken broth

Directions

    Melt shortening in skillet; add onion and rice until rice turns a pink color (about 5 minutes).

    Add chicken broth and tomato sauce.
