Mexican Style Pulled Pork

  • 2 12 lbs pork loin roast
  • 1 medium onion (sliced thin)
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce
  • 12 cup salsa
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 12 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 12 teaspoon oregano
  • 14 teaspoon pepper
  • 18 ttsp red pepper
  • 12 teaspoon salt

    Remove excess fat from pork.

    Place pork in crock-pot, arrange onion on top.

    Mix BBQ sauce, salsa, herbs & spices.

    Pour over pork.

    Cover and cook on low 8 - 10 hours or until pork is very tender.

    Remove pork and shred (pork should just fall apart).

    Put back in crock-pot and mix.

    Turn to low and keep warm as needed.

    Serve with fresh tortillas or buns.
