- 1 c. rice (uncooked)
- 1 can tomatoes, cut up
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. cumin powder
- 3 c. water
- cooking oil
Directions

1Place a small amount of cooking oil into a frying pan.

2Place uncooked rice, onion and green pepper in pan also.

3Fry on medium high heat, stirring constantly, until rice turns a white color. Add cut up, canned tomatoes, water and spices; stir and simmer, uncovered, on medium heat until rice is tender, approximately 20 minutes.
