  • 8 medium cooking apples (tart)
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. salt

Directions

    Peel, core and slice apples.

    In a 2-quart casserole dish, place apples and water, cover and microwave 10 to 15 minutes, or until tender.

    Stir once during cooking.

    Stir in sugar and spices.

    Cover and let stand 15 minutes.

    Serves well warm or cold.
