Microwave Chili

Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 cans (13 3/4 oz.) red kidney beans, undrained
- 3 Tbsp. chili powder or to taste (2 to 4 Tbsp.)
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Place ground meat in 3-quart casserole.

2Cook by microwave on High 5 to 7 minutes.

3Stir after 3 minutes of cooking.

4Remove meat from microwave and set aside.

5In small casserole or 2-cup glass measure, combine onion, garlic and green pepper with 2 tablespoons margarine.

6Cover and microwave on High 3 to 4 minutes.

7Add cooked veggies to heat.

8Stir in undrained kidney beans, chili powder and salt.

9Cover container.

10Place in microwave on High 8 to 10 minutes.

11Reduce power to Medium and continue cooking 10 to 12 minutes.
