- 1 lb. ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 c. dry red wine (optional)
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil
- 16 oz. Ricotta or cottage cheese
- 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 8 uncooked lasagna noodles
- 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese, sliced
Directions

1Brown ground beef or sausage.

2Drain grease.

3Add sauce, wine, garlic powder and basil.

4Stir and microwave on High for 7 to 8 minutes.

5In a mixing bowl, combine the Ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg and pepper.

6Spoon the meat sauce to cover the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch dish.

7Arrange 4 noodles on the sauce. Spread half the cheese mixture and then half the Mozzarella cheese.

8Repeat procedure with sauce as the final layer.

9Cover with plastic wrap.

10Microwave on High for 6 minutes, then on 70% (Medium High) for 20 minutes.

11Let casserole rest for 12 to 15 minutes before serving.
