- 1 1/2 c. raw, shelled peanuts (skins on)
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Stir together peanuts, sugar, syrup and salt in 1 1/2-quart microwave-safe container.

2Cook 4 minutes on High; stop.

3Stir well.

4Return to microwave on High for 4 more minutes; stop.

5Stir in butter.

6Microwave on High 2 minutes longer.

7Stir in vanilla. Add baking soda; quickly stir until light and foamy.

8Immediately pour out onto a lightly greased surface (baking sheet, marble slab); spread to about 1/4-inch thickness.

9When cool, break into pieces.

10Store in an airtight container.

11Makes 1 pound.
