  • 1 medium stalk celery, cut into chunks
  • 1/2 medium lemon, sliced thin
  • 1/2 medium onion, sliced thin
  • 3 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 6 whole cloves or more
  • 1 bay leaf or more
  • 4 salmon, swordfish, halibut or other fish steaks, (6 to 8 oz. each)
  • parsley sprigs
