  • 2 c. 100% Bran (Nabisco)
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 qt. buttermilk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. oil
  • 5 c. flour
  • 5 tsp. baking soda

    Using large mixing bowl, mix together first four ingredients. Add buttermilk, eggs, sugar and oil to mixture.

    Sift together flour and baking soda, then add to mixture.
