- 4 sticks butter
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs (medium or large)
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 4 c. sifted cake flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. whole milk
Directions

1Cream butter until fluffy.

2Add sugar and mix well.

3Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.

4Add flavoring.

5Combine sifted cake flour and salt in another bowl and gradually add small amounts to the butter mixture.

6Alternate with the milk until all is mixed.

7Pour into a greased and floured 4 x 16-inch loaf pan. Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

8Cool 5 to 6 minutes and remove from the pan to cooling rack.
