  • 8 Milky Way candy bars
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Melt over low heat or in double boiler, candy bars and oleo; set aside.

    Cream Crisco with sugar until light and fluffy.

    Add eggs one at a time; beat well.

    Sift flour, salt and soda.

    Add alternately with buttermilk, vanilla and nuts.

    Fold in candy mixture and bake in three 8-inch pans at 350° for 30 minutes. Pans are to be greased and floured.
