  • 1 lb. butter, softened
  • 4 c. flour, sifted
  • 6 eggs (room temperature)
  • 3/4 c. milk (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp. almond or lemon extract
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

    Cream butter; add sugar.

    Beat until light and fluffy.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Add flour to cream mixture, alternately with milk, beat well after each addition.
