  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 lb. butter, softened (do not substitute)
  • 6 eggs (room temperature)
  • 4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 c. milk (evaporated)
  • 1 tsp. butter flavoring
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp. orange extract

    Combine sugar and butter; cream until light and fluffy.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Add flour to creamed mixture alternately with milk; blend well. Add flavorings. Pour batter into a well greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 275° for 1 hour and 40 minutes or until done.
