- 4 oz. unsweetened Baker's chocolate
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1In a saucepan, melt together the milk, sugar and chocolate and bring to a boil, stirring gently.

2Let the mixture boil over medium heat until the foam subsides, about 15 minutes.

3Drop a small amount into a cup of ice-cold water.

4If you can form it into a ball, the mixture is ready for the next step.

5Beat in the butter until the mixture thickens and loses its sheen.

6Beat in the vanilla.

7Pour into 8 x 8-inch buttered pan and chill.
