- 2 lb. lean beef
- 4 lb. apples
- 1 lb. raisins
- 6 c. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 Tbsp. allspice
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
Directions

1Cook beef until done.

2Cool.

3Grind.

4Wash, pare, core and grind apples.

5Mix all ingredients.

6Simmer 1 hour.

7Pack hot into jars.

8Process in pints and quarts 20 minutes at 10 pounds pressure or 1 1/2 hours in boiling water bath.

9Also freezes well. I measure ground meat and ground apples by the cup and have double the amount of apples as meat.
