Ingredients

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 lb beef stew meat
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup sliced carrot
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 (14 ounce) can Italian tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 12 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 tablespoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 (16 ounce) can garbanzo beans
  • 10 ounces frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 cup sliced zucchini

Directions

    Place water and meat in slow cooker.

    Add remaining ingredients except for frozen vegetables and zucchini.

    Cover and cook on low for 10 hours.

    Add vegetables and zucchini during last hour of cooking.

    Remove from slow cooker and allow to cool.

    Place in freezer bag.

    Label and freeze.

    To serve: thaw.

    Heat until hot and bubbly.
