Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean beef, cubed
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1/2 c. dry navy beans
- 1 medium carrot, chopped
- 1 medium potato, diced
- 1 stalk celery, sliced
- 1 lb. can tomatoes (undrained)
- 1/2 c. uncooked spaghetti, broken in 2-inch pieces
- 1 c. frozen peas
- 3 c. water
- 1 tsp. oregano
- Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Place raw meat in bottom of slow cooker, or in heavy kettle on stove top.

2Add remaining ingredients, except cheese.

3Stir to blend.

4Cover.

5Cook on low setting 10 to 13 hours, or 4 to 5 hours on High setting.

6Garnish each serving with Parmesan cheese.

7Makes 2 1/2 quarts.
