Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes
- 1 c. shredded cabbage
- 3/4 tsp. dried basil
- 1/4 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/2 c. dry elbow macaroni
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 c. water
- 1 c. sliced carrots
- 1 bay leaf
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Heat oil in soup pot.

2Add onion, celery and garlic and cook until soft, about 3 minutes.

3Add remaining ingredients except macaroni.

4Simmer, covered, for 25 minutes.

5Add macaroni and simmer 15 minutes.

6Remove bay leaf.

7Serve hot.

8Makes six 1-cup servings.
