- 1 lb. sweet butter (do not use margarine)
- 2 c. sugar
- 12 eggs, separated
- 1 c. bourbon
- 4 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 4 doz. macaroons
- 2 doz. double lady fingers
- 1-1/2 c. whipped cream
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

2Beat egg yolks until light; beat into creamed mixture.

3Soak macaroons in bourbon.

4Beat chocolate into creamed mixture; add vanilla and pecans.

5Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry.

6Fold into chocolate mixture. Line bottom and sides of 10 inch spring-form pan with split lady fingers.

7Alternate layers of soaked macaroons with chocolate mixture in lined pan.

8Decorate top with whipped cream. Refrigerate.

9Makes 16-20 servings.
