Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 slice white bread (thick slice)
  • 1 egg
  • 12-23 cup milk
  • 14 cup grated onion
  • 14 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup

Directions

    Soak bread in milk.

    Squish into pieces.

    Add meat, egg and spices.

    Mix thoroughly.

    Form into small balls.

    Brown gently on all sides in skillet lightly greased with oil.

    Put balls in oven proof dish.

    Add soup and 3/4 can water to skillet juices.

    Mix and simmer slightly.

    Pour over meatballs.

    Heat, covered, in a 325 oven approzimately 45-60 minutes.
