- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup butter
- 8.5 oz ground almonds
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 None eggs, 1 whole, 1 white
- 1.75 oz mixed candied fruit, chopped
- None None Powdered sugar, for dusting
Directions

1Beat the flour, sugar, butter, almonds, vanilla extract and whole egg together, then knead into a smooth dough. Cover and chill for 30 mins.

2Preheat the oven to 325°F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to 3/4 inch thick and cut into 40 pieces. Shape into balls, lay on the baking sheets and flatten slightly.

3Brush with egg white and sprinkle with the fruit. Bake for 20 mins, until golden. Allow to cool and dust with powdered sugar.
