Mint Chip Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 12 ounces mint chips

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 12x9x2 baking pan.

    Stir together the cocoa, baking soda and salt, stir in half the butter and water stirring till thick.

    Stir in the other 1/2 of butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, flour till no streak remain. Toss in half the mint chips stir to distribute evenly.

    Pour into prepared pan smooth out and bake for 35 minutes.

    Sprinkle the remaining chips on the baked brownies let melt then spread evenly.

    Cool and serve.
