- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. cocoa
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
Directions

1In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar and cocoa.

2With pastry blender, cut butter into flour mixture until it resembles cornmeal.

3Add egg white and mint extract and stir until well mixed.

4Shape dough into 2 balls and refrigerate 1 hour.

5Cut one ball into 12 equal pieces.

6Roll each piece into an 11 inch rope. Place on cookie sheet and twist into pretzel shape.

7Bake 8 to 10 minutes and remove to wire rack to cool.

8May be frosted with a powdered sugar (use mint extract) frosting.
