Minted White Sangria

Ingredients

  • 1 cup packed fresh mint leaves plus mint sprigs for garnish
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • A chilled 750-ml. bottle dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup brandy

Directions

    In a pitcher combine the mint, the sugar and 3 tablespoons hot water and with a wooden spoon combine the mixture well, bruising the mint.

    Stir in the wine and the brandy and chill the sangria, covered, for 1 hour.
  3. 3
    Strain the sangria into tall glasses filled with ice cubes and garnish each drink with mint sprig.
