  • 5 c. unsifted self rising flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 2 c. buttermilk, warm

    Dissolve yeast in warm water, set aside.

    Mix flour, sugar and soda, cut in Crisco.

    Add milk and yeast.

    Can be made out immediately or store in refrigerator for 2-3 days.
