  • syrup:
  • 2 and a half cups sugar.
  • 2 cups water.

  • 3 cups of semolina.

  • 1 cup coconut.
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder.
  • 2 teaspoon or more lemon zest.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 or 2 cups nuts or dates or coconuts

    we add all the ingredients n a deep pan for 25 min on a low stove or tell it starts to become sticky.

    while the syrup is cooling we start with the cake

    we add the dry ingredients then the butter mix well then add the butter milk

    u can lay the nuts or dates between two layers of cake or on top of the cake u can lay the nuts.

    put the cake it in the oven for 25 to 30 mint or on till it becomes brown.

    sprinkle the coconuts on top then pour the syrup on the cake and let cool.
