Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 medium mirlitons
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 garlic, chopped
  • 1 small can mushroom gravy
  • 1/2 lb. ground meat
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 rib celery, chopped
  • 1 whole tomato
  • 1 lb. peeled shrimp
  • Parmesan cheese
  • seasoned bread crumbs

Directions

    Peel and cut mirlitons in small cubes.

    Cook 25 minutes with garlic, 1/2 of onions, bell peppers and celery.

    Saute shrimp and meat with remainder of vegetables in 3 tablespoons oil.

    Cook 20 minutes.

    Add can of gravy.

    Combine with mirliton mixture, chopped tomato and seasonings.

    Cook 15 minutes.

    Season to taste.
