- 1 lb. mixed dried fruits (apricots, prunes, pears, apples)
- 2 1/2 qt. water
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 recipe creamed rice
Directions

1Simmer dried fruits with seasonings until tender.

2Dissolve cornstarch in 2 tablespoons cold water.

3Bring soup to boiling and stir in starch.

4Cook, covered, until soup has thickened and is clear.

5Cool with cover on.

6To serve, pour over creamed rice or top with whipped cream.
