Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons cold butter, divided
  • 1 can (11 1/2 ounces) mixed nuts

Directions

    In a small bowl, combine flour, sugar and salt.

    Cut in 1/2 cup butter until mixture resembles course crumbs.

    Press into a greased 13 X 9 inch baking pan.

    Bake at 350F for 10 minutes.

    Sprinkle with the nuts.

    In a microwave, melt butterscotch chips and remaining butter at 70% power for 1 minute.

    Stir.

    Microwave at additional 10 to 20 second intervals, stirring until smooth.

    Stir in corn syrup.

    Pour over nuts.

    Bake for 10 minutes or until set.
