Mixed Up Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1 (1 1/2 oz.) pkg. spaghetti sauce mix (envelope)
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 lb. dry rigatoni
  • 1 lb. Ricotta cheese
  • 12 oz. or 2 c. grated Mozzarella cheese

    Boil macaroni and drain.

    Set aside.

    Cook ground chuck and drain grease.

    Add salt, spaghetti mix, paste, sauce and water in pan and bring to boil.

    Reduce and simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Put in shallow 2-quart casserole dish. Layer 1/2 of the cooked macaroni, 1/2 of the cheese and 1/2 the meat, macaroni, cheese and meat.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes, uncovered, or until cheese is bubbly.
