  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt

    fry onion in olive oil until golden brown.

    add in lentils, rice, water and salt.

    bring to boil.

    turn down to low/med heat and cook for approx 20 minutes or until rice and lentils are tender.
